How your alarm monitoring works
A security alarm system installed in your home or business communicates with our central alarm monitoring station through hard wired landlines or cellular phones.
You arm your security system when you want us to monitor entry to your home or business. If you have fire, carbon monoxide, temperature or water detection options in place, these signals are automatically sent to the monitoring station whether your system is armed or not.
Panic buttons may also be activated regardless of whether or not your system is armed. A signal is automatically transmitted to our central monitoring station.
When we receive an alarm signal from your alarm system, we contact your residence or business, the appropriate emergency department, if required, and your contacts.
Your alarm system can also be programmed to conduct periodic (daily, weekly, etc.) tests, low battery & open/close reports.
