Job Location: Based out of Kentville, Nova Scotia. We service customers in the following counties and travel will be required to travel to these areas: Annapolis, Colchester, Cumberland, Digby, Halifax, Hants, Kings, Lunenburg, Pictou, Queens, Shelburne & Yarmouth.
Valley Alarms Ltd is currently seeking a Security & Fire Alarm Helper with an interest in in Security, CCTV, Access Control, and other security related areas. The Security Alarm Technician will be responsible for the installation of commercial & residential security alarms, card access and CCTV systems (IP & Analog) as scheduled by our Senior Security Alarm Technician. The Security Alarm Technician will also provide service to customers as well as assisting in the instruction of operational procedures and care of equipment.

Accountabilities:
- Providing superior customer service through consistent follow up & timely responses to customer inquiries
- Travelling to client sites
- Always focusing on solutions that will best meet the needs of location & client
- Assist Security Technicians with duties related to the installation and inspection of security systems/fire alarms as needed.
- Provide consistently high levels of customer service.
- Perform duties as directed by Management or the Senior Alarm Technician.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
- Interest in Security & Fire Alarm systems
- Self motivated, highly organized and able to thrive under pressure
- Clean Driver's abstract
- Ability to pass criminal background check
- Willingness to travel 90% of the time
- Physical ability to lift alarm equipment and ladders
- Work at heights (specifically on ladders - from step ladders and above)
- Travel to the work office, and off-site locations will be required
- Safety equipment required, to be supplied by employer
- Hazards associated with the trade
- Work both indoors and outdoors
- Will be exposed to construction/manufacturing sites
- Hours of work - Monday to Friday, 2 - 3 days a week, work hours are flexible.
